RSC Group 8 for Infant Family Associates/ Specialists  (IFA/IFS)

Description:

FAIMH brings our Infant Mental Health Endorsed Professionals and Agency Members the opportunity to receive Reflective Supervision/Consultation (RSC) at no cost to you!

RSC supports IMH professionals in addressing the challenges of their work and leads to better service to families. The relationship, in which the professional feels seen, heard, and understood, provides a model for strengthening relationships and promoting the growth and development of babies, young children, their parents, and caregivers.

RSC provides a regular opportunity for IMH professionals to talk about their work and the impact their work has on themselves and others. RSC fosters critical self awareness and the ability to consider multiple perspectives, all of which enhance an organization’s implementation of a relationship-based culture. FAIMH believes that RSC is essential for all infant mental health professionals in all levels of service from promotion to prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment and in program and policy leadership.

This experience is valued at $2100, and FAIMH is offering it for free to our Endorsed Professionals and our Agency Members because of our commitment to providing accessible, affordable Reflective Supervision/Consultation in Florida.

Who: This group is for professionals who are a) currently Endorsed as an Infant Family Associate/Infant Family Specialist or b) Agency Member staff who work in a role, such as early intervention (Early Steps), home visiting, care coordination, parenting intervention, Head Start/Early Head Start, Healthy Start Coalition, Healthy Steps, or directors and other staff who provide support to classroom teachers.

If you are an employee of an Agency Member, you do not need to be endorsed to join these groups. They are a benefit of your Agency Membership. You must only match the scope of work described here.

Reflective Supervisor: Cindy Brown, LCSW, MPH, IMH-E®

Cindy is Florida Association for Infant Mental Health (FAIMH)’s Endorsement Coordinator. She is responsible for the oversight of FAIMH’s Infant Mental Health Endorsement infrastructure. She supports professionals working with and on behalf of infants 0-5 and their families by promoting the evidenced-based and best practice infant mental health. Additionally, Ms. Brown owns a private practice in Winter Park where she helps families establish safe and secure relationships and heal from complex trauma.

Technology Requirements:

To ensure the best possible experience for all participants, the program relies on online video conferencing, which has minimum requirements to work properly. You will need a desktop or laptop computer with speakers, microphone, and webcam, and a high-speed internet connection. Laptops work best because they come with all the necessary equipment and can easily be moved from room to room in your home or office to find a quiet place.
