Group Peer Support for Professionals
A FAIMH Member Benefit - OPEN TO ALL IN MAY!
Using the evidence-informed Group Peer Support (GPS) Model, the time will include a time of reflection, grounding and sharing for professionals working in the human services, education and mental health fields, among others.
This group is for all our members who work with children, families or support programs and systems for children and families--regardless of level or category or field. All are welcome.
The intention of this group is that everyone participates for the full timeframe, but we understand if there are competing demands on your attention during this time. In the beginning of the group, when the facilitator is setting the framework and providing the "rules of the road," the group will be muted, and as the group continues, you will each have a chance to share. You are invited to be present, but also to take care of yourself, and if you need to stop briefly to take care of others, please do so. We are all doing our best.
Please note: no one will be allowed in after the "rules of the road" (guidelines for the group) have been established, which generally occurs during the first 15 minutes.
