 Description: The Period of PURPLE Crying is an evidence-based shaken baby 
 syndrome/abusive head trauma prevention program implemented in Florida by 
 health care providers and community organizations in partnership with 
 Prevent Child Abuse Florida. Developed by the National Center on Shaken 
 Baby Syndrome\, the program helps caregivers understand their 
 baby&rsquo\;s increased crying and prevents abusive head trauma from 
 shaking a baby in frustration. Get trained in PURPLE to better support new
  and expectant parents in your community. Trainer: Shelby Garner\,

 training may meet IMH Competencies that support your preparation to earn 
 the Florida Infant Mental Health Endorsement. Technology Requirements: To 
 ensure the best possible experience for all participants\, the program 
 relies on online video conferencing\, which has minimum requirements to 
 work properly. You will need a desktop or laptop computer with speakers\, 
 microphone\, and webcam\, and a high-speed internet connection. Laptops 
 work best because they come with all the necessary equipment and can 
 easily be moved from room to room in your home or office to find a quiet

  Try out a test meeting Test your audio and video in the meeting 
 Certificate: Upon successful completion of the training\, a certificate of
  completion will be earned. A certificate will only be provided to those 
 who attended the full training session (1.5 hours). This training programs
  offers the full complement of education hours and content areas that you 
 need to fulfill the training requirements for your certification 
 application as a family support professional\, case manager\, child
