Missed our Celebrate Babies event with Dr. Nadine Burke Harris in October 2024? Join us for an encore showing.

October 22, 2024, FAIMH proudly joined with the Center for Child Counseling, and Honorary Chair Kathy Leone, to host a Celebrate Babies event to remember! We hosted Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, a renowned pediatrician, public health advocate, and author, best known for her pioneering work in the field of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress. In our encore event this May, we will share the knowledge and wisdom Dr. Burke Harris shared with us in that special moment for Florida.

Dr. Burke Harris is the founder and former CEO of the Center for Youth Wellness in San Francisco, an organization dedicated to improving the health of children exposed to ACEs. Dr. Burke Harris has served as California's first Surgeon General, where she focused on addressing the root causes of health disparities and promoting early interventions for childhood trauma. Her influential book, "The Deepest Well: Healing the Long-Term Effects of Childhood Adversity," has brought widespread attention to the impact of early adversity on long-term health and well-being. Throughout her career, Dr. Burke Harris has been a vocal advocate for integrating ACEs screening into pediatric care and fostering trauma-informed approaches in healthcare and education.
