DESCRIPTION: Presents... What Every Child Needs: Trauma-Informed Care for 
 Infants and Young Children Description: This training extends the 
 exploration of the impact of trauma on infants and young children\, and 
 introduces Trauma-Informed Care strategies and practices. Participants 
 will explore the impact of stress on the body\, and how early experiences 
 influence development and behavior. The session explores how professionals
  can use a &ldquo\;trauma-informed lens&rdquo\; when supporting children\,
  especially children with challenging behaviors. Participants will build 
 strategies to respond with compassion and support healthy relationships\, 
 resilience\, and positive infant mental health outcomes. Learning 
 Objectives: Describe the impact of trauma and stress on infants&rsquo\; 
 and young children&rsquo\;s development and behavior. Understand how 
 children&rsquo\;s behaviors communicate their needs\, experiences\, and 
 stress responses. Apply trauma-informed approaches that promote safety\, 
 connection\, and supportive relationships within the services provided to 
 children and their families. Trainer: Dr. Alicia-Ann Samuel\, EdD\, NCC\, 
 LMHC-QS\, IMH-E&reg\; Dr. Alicia-Ann Samuel she is a Licensed Mental 
 Health Counselor\, Qualified Supervisor\, Infant Mental Health 
 Endorsed&reg\; professional and organizational leader specializing in 
 Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and consultation\, trauma-
 informed and sensory-informed care and reflective practice. She is the 
 Founder and CEO of Therapeutically Beautiful&reg\; and Founder of 
 GroundedGiggles&reg\; Inc.\, where she works to strengthen early 
 relational health\, mental health and community wellbeing through 
 training\, consultation\, supervision\, speaking and community-based 
 initiatives. As Chair of the Broward Chapter of the Florida Association 
 for Infant Mental Health (FAIMH)\, Dr. Samuel is passionate about 
 advancing relationship-based practices that support children\, families\, 
 professionals and communities. Her work focuses on building relational 
 capacity\, strengthening workforce wellbeing and translating research into
  practical strategies that foster resilience\, connection and long-term

  Location This training will be held online via Zoom. Zoom link info will 
 be sent to paid registrants several times beginning one week before the 
 training begins. Certificates &amp\; Continuing Education Units 
 Certificate: Upon successful completion of training or training series\, a
  certificate of completion will be earned to all those who signed in and 
 fully attended. CEUs: Continuing education (1.5 hours) will be awarded for
  each session attended in the What Every Child Needs series for licensed 
 clinical social workers\, marriage and family therapists\, and mental 
 health counselors who register with a CE ticket. Continuing education 
 credits are provided by the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health\,
  an approved continuing education provider for the Florida Board of 
 Clinical Social Work\, Marriage &amp\; Family Therapy\, and Mental Health 
 Counseling (CE Provider #50-30846). Continuing education (1.5 hours) will 
 be awarded for each session attended in the What Every Child Needs series 
 for psychologists who register with a CE ticket. Continuing education 
 credits are provided by the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health\,
  an approved continuing education provider for the Florida Board of 
 Psychology (CE Provider #50-30846). Technology Requirements: To ensure the
  best possible experience for all participants\, the program relies on 
 online video conferencing\, which has minimum requirements to work 
 properly. You will need a desktop or laptop computer with speakers\, 
 microphone\, and webcam\, and a high-speed internet connection. Laptops 
 work best because they come with all the necessary equipment and can 
 easily be moved from room to room in your home or office to find a quiet
