Trainer: Chris Lester

Chris Lester's work as a NICU Developmental Educator sparked her passion for bridging knowledge of fetal and newborn development from the hospital setting to communities so babies can flourish as they continue their developmental trajectory toward childhood. She serves as a trainer and consultant to child welfare and early learning agencies and develops curricula for parents and caregivers. Chris has received multiple funding awards from The Community Foundation of Northeast Florida to support her work and recognition from FAIMH for her leadership efforts, the University of North Florida for Excellence in Program Design and the United Way of North Florida for her work in child advocacy.

Free CEUs: Continuing education (1 hours) for licensed clinical social workers, marriage & family therapists, and mental health counselors will be offered by the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health, an approved provider for continuing education by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling (CE Provider #50-30846).

Continuing education (1 hours) for psychologists will be offered by the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health, an approved provider for continuing education by the Florida Board of Psychology (CE Provider # 50-30846).

Professionals in other related disciplines, as well as those working outside of Florida, can submit CEU certificates to their corresponding boards for independent approval. Actual CEU amounts will be dependent upon your specific licensure board and attendance.

Technology Requirements:

To ensure the best possible experience for all participants, the program relies on online video conferencing, which has minimum requirements to work properly. You will need a desktop or laptop computer with speakers, microphone, and webcam, and a high-speed internet connection. Laptops work best because they come with all the necessary equipment and can easily be moved from room to room in your home or office to find a quiet place.
