The practice of IECMHC is vast: from consultation settings to implementation to program design and evaluation. Presenters who reflect varying levels of IECMHC program development and implementation are encouraged to apply. Even if your program is just starting out, we would love to showcase your efforts to build your program’s foundation - whether that is through systems building, workforce development, forming relationships, or building community partnerships.
We are seeking presenters who can help all IECMHC practitioners understand systemic oppression, historical trauma, resilience, and culturally-responsive practice, and who meaningfully embed equity in their programs and practice. Presenters must share this vision of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)1 and support this work to apply.
1 We use the Irving Harris Foundation’s definition of DEI as combating “racism, classism, sexism, able-ism, homophobia, xenophobia, and other systems of oppression within ourselves, our practices, and our fields." - Diversity-Informed Tenets for Work with Infants, Children, and Families.
