RSC Learning Collaborative for Supervisors
Level:
Foundational / Beginner
Description:
For the first time, FAIMH brings a comprehensive experience for Supervisors to learn and experience RSC! The Learning Collaborative offers both training and low-cost, small-group RSC sessions over 9 months. Open to all professionals who supervise others in their professional role, and want to learn about Reflective Supervision/Consultation (RSC)! Training will cover foundational concepts, key principles and processes, as well as how to successfully navigate challenges & growth opportunities commonly encountered in an RSC experience. Beginning after Training Day 1, participants will participate in an RSC Group every other week through June 2024. You must be currently supervising others to attend this 9-month Learning Collaborative.
This experience offers you two of the requirements to become an Endorsed Reflective Supervisor: the required 15 hours of competency-based training specifically on the provision of RSC, and up to 27 hours of RSC by an Endorsed Reflective Supervisor.
Training Day 1 (October 2023) will focus on foundational concepts--the who, what, when, where, how and, of course, the why of Reflective Supervision/Consultation (RSC). The impact and outcomes of RSC will be shared, along with key principles and practices that help every professional to hold the baby in mind. It will include interactive learning on diversity-informed, culturally responsive reflective practice, as well as relationship building within the supervisory relationship.
Training Day 2 (April 2024) will focus on challenges or discomfort commonly encountered in an RSC experience--whether you are a Supervisor (providing RSC) or a Supervisee (receiving RSC). Key principles such as the parallel process will continue to be explored. Navigating difficult conversations within RSC, creating a brave space to have honest conversations, cultivating safety to explore one's full range of feelings, as well as ensuring the experience is diversity-informed and culturally responsive will be demonstrated and explored.
RSC Group for Supervisors will be held twice monthly via Zoom, starting after Training Day 1 and running through June 2024. This comprehensive experience of both learning about and participating in RSC will prepare you to earn Endorsement® as an Endorsed Reflective Supervisor/Consultant who can then provide this service to your staff in your organization and/or privately to others in Florida seeking Endorsement®. FAIMH brings you this opportunity with a deeply discounted rate for Members at only $20 per hour of RSC (only $18.50/hour for Agency Members)!
Best for:
- Infant/Early Childhood Professionals who are planning to become Reflective Supervisors/Consultants and need the required 15 hours of training as well as RSC hours from an Endorsed Reflective Supervisor
- Infant/Early Childhood Professionals who are providing Reflective Supervision in their role currently and want to earn IMH Endorsement® to become an Endorsed Reflective Supervisor so that you can then provide RSC to all others seeking Endorsement® and to those who need RSC for Endorsement® renewal
