Diversity Informed Tenets Intro Session

As part of our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, FAIMH is proud to bring training on the Diversity Informed Tenets for Work with Infants, Children and Families to Florida, facilitated by expert trainers from the Irving Harris Foundation.

The Tenets Initiative consists of a set of principles designed to help professionals, agencies and systems understand how our own backgrounds and experiences shape our work, and provide a set of strategies and tools for integrating the Tenets into all aspects of our work.

This introductory training opportunity has been specifically developed to provide a set of guiding principles and practices that strengthen the commitment and capacity of professionals, organizations and systems that serve infants, children and families to embed diversity, inclusion and equity principles into their work. We expect that this is the beginning of many opportunities that you have to learn, practice and embed the Tenets into your professional work with, or for, children and families.

Location: online via Zoom.

Zoom link info will be emailed to registrants the day before the training.

Open to: Professionals in program administration, leadership or direct service who work with, or on behalf of, infants, young children and their families.

Thanks to funding from the Florida Division of Early Learning we are able to offer this training session at low or no cost to you!

To ensure the best possible experience for all participants, the program relies on online video conferencing, which has minimum requirements to work properly. You will need a desktop or laptop computer with speakers, microphone, and webcam, and a high-speed internet connection. Laptops work best because they come with all the necessary equipment and can easily be moved from room to room in your home or office to find a quiet place.

Certificate: If requested, a certificate of attendance will be provided.

Continuing Education hours will not be offered for this session.

Policies: View our Training Academy Policy on attendance, payment, cancellation and more.
